Southwire Armorlite® Cables – Lightweight Aluminium Armor

Southwire Armorlite® cables are constructed using lightweight aluminium interlocked armor. The cables meet or exceed the requirements of UL 83, UL 1569, UL 1685 and Federal Specification A-A59544 (formerly J-C-30B). The cables also meet FT4/IEEE 1202 Vertical Cable Tray Flame Test and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), Article 330. They are listed for use in UL 1, 2 and 3 Hour Through Penetration Firestop Systems and are REACH/RoHS-2 (Chemical Limit) Compliant.

Alumaflex^TM Cables – Aluminium Armor

Southwire Alumaflex^TM Type MC cables are rated at 90°C wet or dry. The aluminium conductors are cabled together and a binder tape is wrapped around the assembly. Aluminum interlocking armor is applied over the assembly. For Jacketed versions, a black flame retardant sunlight resistant PVC jacket is applied over the armor.

Duraclad Cables – Galvanised Steel Armor

Southwire Duraclad cables are constructed with solid soft-drawn copper circuit conductors (rated 90°C dry), redundant grounding provided by an armor assembly comprised of galvanised steel interlocked armor. The insulated circuit and grounding conductors are cabled together and wrapped with a binder tape.

Power & Control Cables – Aluminium Armor

Southwire offer a range of metal clad cables for power, control and fire safety applications. The phase conductors, ground, and control conductor assembly are cabled together and a binder tape bearing the print legend is wrapped around the assembly. Aluminum interlocking armor is applied over the taped assembly.

General Purpose Cables – Aluminium & Steel Armor

Southwire general purpose cables are constructed with copper conductors (rated 90°C dry). The insulated conductors are cabled together and wrapped with a binder tape bearing the print legend. Aluminum or steel interlocking armor is snugly applied over the assembly.

Healthcare – Aluminium Armor

The conductors are cabled together and a binder tape bearing the print legend is wrapped around the cabled assembly. Aluminum interlocking armor is applied over the cabled assembly. With jacketed versions, the sunlight resistant, direct burial rated PVC jackets are applied over the armored cable assembly.
