One of those product families is medium voltage cables, where they offer a range of products from 2.4kV up to 35kV in either copper or aluminium, with either EPR or XLPE insulation and PVC, CPE or LSZH jackets.
Southwire’s 3-core Medium Voltage cables are suited for use in wet and dry areas, conduits, ducts, troughs, trays, direct burial, aerial supported by a messenger, and where superior electrical properties are desired. For uses in Class I, II, and III, Division 2 hazardous locations per NEC Article 501 and 502. Type (TC-ER) per NEC 336.10.
From a shielding perspective they will all come with copper tape shields and if an armour is required, they can be manufactured with an Aluminium Interlocked Armour (AIA) or Southwire’s famous ARMOR-X brand, which is a continuous corrugated welded armour (abbreviated to CCW or MC-HL) – check our FAQs page for more information on the ARMOR-X product here: https://thompsongws.com/faqs-armor-x/
